Black and Blu Productions is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. This notice describes what the site actually does. Registration details that the studio has not supplied yet are marked to be confirmed.

What we collect

Contact enquiries: your name, email, optional phone number, subject and message, plus your consent.

Talent applications: your name, email, phone, location, profession, biography, experience, optional message, optional showreel link, and any CV or headshot you choose to upload, plus your consent.

Newsletter: your email address and consent. We do not sell addresses.

Editor accounts: an email address and a password hash. Passwords are not stored in plain text.

Why

Enquiries are kept so the studio can reply. Applications are kept so authorised editors can consider a collaboration. Newsletter addresses are kept for occasional studio news. The legal basis we rely on is your consent, and where relevant the studio’s legitimate interest in responding to a message you sent.

Who can see it

Applications, enquiries and newsletter addresses are not published on the website. They are visible only to signed-in editors. If email delivery is configured, a notification of a new enquiry or application is sent to the company address. Files are stored in the studio’s private archive, not in the public website code.

How long

The studio aims to keep applications and enquiries no longer than 24 months, and newsletter addresses until you ask to be removed. Editors can delete a record sooner from the dashboard.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent. Write to nmvubelonl@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Children

This site is not directed at children acting alone. Do not submit information about a person under 18 without the authority of a parent or legal guardian.
